There is still a huge misconception that those suffering from meningitis will develop the terible rash but this isn't true. Many, like our beautiful goddaughter Clara who we lost to meningitis at just 10 months old, will never develop a rash.
Please don't wait for the rash.
We really want to show children that learning can be lots of fun. We therefore developed our alphabet and number flash cards to help us with this.
A number of people have asked us recently what age group the flash cards are best for and how they can use the flash cards with children. So we have decided to do a blog post to help with this and give you all lots of ideas for how to have fun with them.
We have collated our ideas in three broad categories; babies, toddlers and preschoolers/older children. These categories are just meant as rough guides as we know that all children develop at their own pace.
Please note that we are not early years specialists, nor are we teachers. We are parents who want to inspire children to learn and develop. These ideas are just some simple and fun ways to help your children learn and have fun at the same time.
We had so much fun at the Children's Book Swap Event last weekend, we wanted to tell you all about it. Hopefully it will inspire you to hold a Book Swap of your own!
We were very proud today watching our awesome godson Gabriel run 1.5k with his cousin Oscar, to raise money for Meningitis Now, in memory of his beautiful sister Clara.
